I have Symantec C++ 7.21, will the Mars compiler work properly with this development package? -- Best regards, Kyle Brant

It should. Let us know if you have any problems. Also, be sure and back up any files in the Symantec distribution that you replace. -Walter Kyle Brant wrote in message <96nr9c$12eg$1 digitaldaemon.com>...I have Symantec C++ 7.21, will the Mars compiler work properly with this development package? -- Best regards, Kyle Brant

The compiler part should work. The IDDE would not be able to allow you to use the Express (Wizard) features as many of those are only for MFC 3.xxx. After using the IDDE for a while, I abandoned it and go back to doing the coding by hand. Kind of surprising - since originally most Windows programmer do it that way until IDDE and those wizards/Drag&Drop become a norm. ----- Original Message ----- From: Walter <walter digitalmars.com> Newsgroups: c++ Sent: Monday, February 19, 2001 2:28 AM Subject: Re: Mars Compiler and IDDE Version QuestionIt should.
